On the last morning in Bangkok, we visited one of the most prestigious places in Bangkok. It was Gems Gallery. It is one of the largest retail jewelry stores in Thailand, not only in Bangkok they also have branches in Chiangmai, Phuket, and Pattaya. It offers jewelry and beautiful gemstones with many choices since it was first opened in 1987.

First time entering, we were invited to the Multivision Slide Room where we watched a video about Gems Gallery and how the process of obtaining precious stones from hundreds of meters underground. After that, we were invited to see some gemstones on display in front of the Multivision Slide Room. Here are some gemstones that I could capture.

Next we were guided to see firsthand how the process of polishing precious stones into rings, bracelets and necklaces. But, unfortunately, visitors are not allowed to capture images during the process. Out of the manufacture room, we were directly directed to the jewelry store. Again visitors can't take photographs of jewelry there. Regulations are made by companies to avoid plagiarism of jewelry designs made and sold there.

The spacious jewelry store contains 80 storefronts, in which 50,000 jewelry items are sold at varying prices with varying stone sizes. The price of the jewelry itself depends on the type and quality of the stone. It also depends on the shell of jewelry, some are made of 18 carat yellow gold, there is also white gold, and some are made of silver.

The staff and jewelry experts there understand various languages (including Bahasa Indonesia) who are ready to help explaining the things we want to know about jewelry and gemstones. However, if you do not want to buy, we as tourists can look at the gallery that is displayed, just looking at the glitter of the existing jewelry, but do not take pictures! :")

In addition, Gem Gallery also won ISO 9002, ISO 9001: 2000, and ISO 9001: 2008 certificates. So, the buyers don't need to worry of non-authentic jewelry.
